Hello, Tim!
I know that I have already said that events I want to attend to keep popping up themselves, but it also seems like I have been voluntarily making new arrangements for new events! Well-aware am I that studying is the first thing on the priority list, but at the same time, I also want to make the best out of this summer vacation.

Yesterday ended with my falling asleep in Eliza’s house, and today started with me waking up at nine in the morning. After a quick breakfast, I took the metro all the way back home, for my math tutor’s classes start this week.
I can never pin down the emotions I hold for the math subject. I have never wanted to pursue a life is deeply involved with math, but I no longer detest it like I used to.
There are some parts about math that can be intriguing, or in some very scarce occasions, interesting. But no matter the case, when you successfully crack the problem, say, find the correct x of the formula, or accurately answering the probability of the chance of rain tomorrow, the feeling I get is normally rewarding.
But all the confusion you need to endure, and the ordeal you need to surpass just take too much energy and time that I sometimes would rather just chuck everything off the desk and proceed with something else to do.
After the class and some rest, I headed out again for the farewell dinner mentioned yesterday. About half of the classmates couldn’t come, so we only took up nine seats (including our two dear teachers) in the pasta restaurant near my house. We are a close group since we have practically been in the same class in cram school for eight years. Eight years! That speaks quite much even though we don’t contact each other very often. We never have the need to strive thinking about things to talk about because eight years ensured that we have enough stories in common to share and laugh about. I like them quite a lot, and it feels nice to still keeping in touch with people I’ve known from way back.

After dinner, like what we do as a tradition, came ARCADE TIME! There was a small department store near our places, and in it is a small arcade where we always spend some money one some little games of air hockey and claw machines and pachinko ball games. The fun it held didn’t all stem from the machines and games, but from the company and the presence of each other. I know I have always had plans to go abroad for studying, but I also genuinely hope that our friendship just goes on like it always has.
Remember Lawrence? The guy, my friend who studies in Canada since middle school graduation? After I came home at around ten, I found out that he has just arrived back in Taiwan for summer vacation, and I immediately contacted him via social media (I love you, 21st century) and arranged a lunch date (friendly kind, rest assured) on Wednesday. See? A packed schedule comes from incessant impulses and the desire to keep in touch with friends.
This is all for today. Dad will be coming home tomorrow, and who knows what we have for tomorrow?
